A private office for your European project

Move to Europe with one person accountable for the whole plan.

A home in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece or Monaco touches residence, tax, property, banking and local partners at once. One European lead runs every workstream to a single dated plan, so you make decisions instead of managing specialists.

From the first call to a dated plan in three weeks.

01 · The problem

Eight good professionals can still lose the whole picture.

Your US advisor sees the portfolio. The immigration lawyer sees the visa. The notary sees the deed. Each one is right about their piece, and nobody is responsible for the sequence between them. That is how one confident signature becomes a seven-figure mistake.

02 · Why one office

Watch the same project, with and without an owner.

These are the workstreams of every serious European move. Scroll, and watch what one accountable lead changes.

    The Blueprint

    Three weeks · $7,500

    • Property search, closing and works
    • Banking and currency
    • Company setup where needed

05 · Client feedback

What changes when the path is finally clear.

Real client feedback. Because privacy is part of the mandate, names and identifying details are withheld.

“Alexandre was decisive in our choice of location. He helped us understand where in Italy made sense, then coordinated the property, residence, tax and local-partner questions around one plan. Without him, we would not have had the confidence to take the step and settle near Florence.”

“After selling my company, I wanted a pied-a-terre in Europe, not months of fragmented calls. Alexandre helped me shape the Paris brief, understand the tax and banking steps, find the right local partners and move from idea to execution.”

06 · Founder-led

Finance discipline, European operating reality.

Every mandate is led personally by Alexandre: six years of M&A at Rothschild & Co on more than EUR 10 billion of European transactions, private equity experience underwriting European real estate, and a software company built and sold. One accountable principal, not a rotating account team.

Which European country actually fits your life?

Seven questions. Six countries. A private fit assessment built for Americans considering a serious European move, answered personally within two business days.

07 · Before you commit

The questions Americans ask first.

Read all questions

Can Americans actually buy property in Europe?

Yes, in every country this office covers. France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece and Monaco all let Americans own property outright, with no residence or citizenship requirement. What differs is the machinery: the local transaction sequence, due diligence, financing and the moment an offer becomes binding. Knowing that sequence before you sign is what protects you.

How long can we stay in Europe without a visa?

Americans can generally spend 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the Schengen area. Staying longer takes the appropriate national residence route. The right route depends on income, family situation, intended work and timeline, and identifying it is one of the first deliverables of the Blueprint.

Will we be taxed twice, in the US and in Europe?

US citizens generally remain subject to US filing on worldwide income, and each European country has its own treaty with the US that decides who taxes what. The costly mistakes happen when someone triggers foreign tax residency before the plan is set. EPO gives no tax advice itself; it brings licensed cross-border specialists into the file before any irreversible residence, property or capital decision.

What happens to a home in France when an American owner dies?

French succession rules can shape who inherits a French home and how it is taxed, so they belong in your estate planning well before a purchase. The outcome depends on how the property is owned, where you are resident, your family situation, any existing wills and how French and US rules interact, so there is no single answer that fits every family. EPO gives no legal advice itself; our guide to French inheritance law for American property owners sets out the questions to resolve, and we bring qualified French notaries and cross-border counsel into the file alongside your existing US advisors.

What if we complete the Blueprint and decide not to move?

You keep the full work and owe nothing more. The Blueprint is a standalone engagement: if it does not create clarity on country, budget, tax route and timeline, the $7,500 fee is refunded. If it does, and you decide Europe is not for you, that clarity is exactly what you paid for. There is no obligation to continue.
